Wincor Nixdorf guarantees 20 % lower costs with their solutions for cash management
Wincor World Fair took place in Paderborn, Germany on 26th-28th  January. Represented by about 600 innovative IT solutions and services for merchants and bankers offered by Wincor Nixdorf. The fair participated and presented their products and thirty Wincor’s suppliers, such as Datalogic, Bizerba, Honeywell, Mettler Toledo, Intel, Cisco and Kranz. They were present and distributors from various countries. Organized by Service Plus, the fair was visited by representatives of Serbian Idea, Croatian Konzum, Tommy and Gavrilovic, and the Progressive magazine.

Solutions for better and cheaper  handling of money

Wincor World has offered  to IT professionals trade chains and banks from around the world hardware and software solutions of the latest generation, and emphasis is placed on managing money. “Cash is still the number 1 payment method in the world. Nine out of ten financial transactions around the world are done using cash. Our estimates show that in this way creates more than $ 300 billion costs, primarily for banks and trading companies,” said the Eckard Heidloff, president and CEO of Wincor Nixdorf, at the opening of the fair Wincor World 2010th
Only the number of banknotes in euro grows at the rate of nine percent annually, according to the European Central Bank. All in all, managing of money costs  Europe about 50 billion euros per year. Therefore, the fair which Heidloff opened representing portfolio management solutions of Cash Flow (Cash Cycle Management Solutions) which allows that manual processes be automated, or contact of employees in shops and banks with money be reduced on minimum. The results are  maximum security, the greatest possible transparency, better processes and reduce costs for more than 20 percent.

Traditional activities, as was said at the press conference the first day of the fair, suffering from the enormous costs of managing money. The process of payment at the cash register takes 15-25 seconds. Then there counting money which often involves double checking, and then store the money in safe and preparing for his transportation. In order to improve these processes and speed, Wincor Nixdorf offers solutions for managing cash flow, which consist of hardware, software and services monitoring and maintenance. This concept allows closed cash flows in the stores and better control over them. The most important benefits for merchants are significantly reduced costs and greater security, because the risk of robbery is theoretically reduced to zero, and the possibilities for abuse of the system are far less.
Individual component of this portfolio can be used in existing or self-checkout and in “control room” (back office). Information on the state at any time is available at the POS and in the ‘control room’. The aim is that in the future, when it comes to cash flows, cash malls, offices and retail banks make closed circle and integrate processes.

Self-checkout, mobile devices and more

Fair visitors are presented with different versions of the cash registers for the different formats of stores, which guarantee the satisfaction of the end customer, the optimization process for employees and management. It was represented a POS Tower 150RC, self checkout system particularly suitable for family activities with limited retail space. Ease of use of the new system has significantly improved - instead customers must place their baskets on the one side, scanned items, then pack them on the other side self-checkout, now all the place with the same side, on two levels. Another advantage is that the space needed self-checkout reduced by about 30 percent. Also it was presented “mobile solutions” (TP Application Suite) as TpiShop, further enhanced mobile self-scanning ultimate solution for customers which already use world traders; Mobile Sales Assistant which provides that employees be able at any time to have the answers to all questions of customers; Mobile Inventor  that allows access to data on inventory anywhere you are, without having to connect to the network.

A new component added to these solutions is TP Secure which guarantees comprehensive protection of all systems from IT attacks (hacking, worms, Trojan horses). It was presented products such as electronic self label (ECL) for electronic price marking and other information about the articles, and digital signage - displays where you can show different multimedia content.
