Groupo Cortefiel implementation of TP.net by Service Plus

Grupo Cortefiel is one of Europe’s top fashion names, founded in Madrid in 1880 and today it is present in 64 countries and has 1,729 points of sale. Cortefiel, Pedro del Hierro, Springfield and Women`s Secret are the four chains that make up Grupo Cortefiel. The group was presented in the markets of Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina by franchises. Last year Grupo Cortefiel decided to take over the 17 stores that were franchised, 12 in Serbia and 5 in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the first time entering a European country not belonging to the EU.

It was a big step in their business expansion and required major changes in their business processes. The first decision they made was to change the POS application, from a local solution to a global solution, TP.net produced by Wincor Nixdorf. This switch was supervised, supported and executed by Service Plus.

As a leader in IT solutions for Retail in the Balkan region, with a huge experience with similar projects worldwide and as a proven partner of Wincor Nixdorf, Service Plus has customized TP.net and integrated to necessary changes in accordance with the local fiscal law. The complexity was increased by the necessity to adapt to the fiscal rules in three different regions (Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina) and for two different languages. All three regions have different laws and regulations and Service Plus developed drivers for three different fiscal printers.

It took only 4 months that the developments were carried out and the stores were up and running. Technicians of Service Plus installed and wired 17 stores with 34 POS systems (Wincor Nixdorf Beetle) and 17 back-office computers, including the installation and wiring of the Headquarter in Belgrade, with 4 computers, 3 notebooks and a central server. This task was complicated by the fact, that Cortefiel did not interrupt their normal sales business, but all installations had to be carried out after closing of the stores. During the whole project Service Plus software experts and consultants for laws and regulations have supported Grupo Cortefiel helping to develop the KEPU book. Service Plus also set up training sessions for all cashiers (over 35 people) in only two days. Support was provided on the first days of the new opening, where Service Plus experts were presented in the stores, making sure that everything was functional and all processes went smoothly. Of course all the positive sides and values of the Service Plus services were well recognized and Grupo Cortefiel strongly wanted to keep Service Plus as a partner. The final result was a 5 years maintenance contract.
